About Us
We are a team of recognized certified bilingual educators in Texas with a combined experience of 20 years. At Mi Cielito Azul ECC, our Spanish Immersion program is designed to provide students with high quality instruction through the use of project based learning that fosters cultural appreciation and empowers students to become confident lifelong learners. Our licensed preschools are located in Carrollton, Texas and Dallas, Texas. We offer full time care for ages 18 months to 5 years old. In addition, we offer Private In Home Lessons and Tutoring in the Dallas Metroplex area.
Our Mission
Mi Cielito Azul ECC is a Preschool that provides an opportunity for all students to achieve success in a Spanish immersion program. Our school philosophy is based on the belief that, “one who knows two languages can contribute in two worlds.” Our curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child. Through authentic Spanish lessons and activities, the faculty nurtures and strengthens five key areas of development: social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive. We believe that collaboration among faculty and families is crucial to the development of a self-empowered and global-minded learner who practices mindfulness, persistence, creativity, and critical thinking.
Founding Team
Yesel Gutierrez
Founder/Teacher
Yesel Gutierrez is a Dallas native and first generation student. She graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Bilingual Studies: Early Childhood- 6th grade. She is deeply passionate about educating students in a Spanish immersion environment, believing that language has the power to open doors to endless opportunities. Through immersion, students do not simply learn to speak Spanish, they develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures, perspectives, and ways of life.
This vision is also deeply personal. She founded the school with her own child in mind, with the goal of creating an authentic and meaningful learning experience that is connected, engaging, and intentional. She envisioned a space where children could fully immerse themselves in language and culture, free from the distractions of technology and truly experience the joy of learning. Safety is her top priority and she strives to provide an environment where not only children, but also parents and guardians feel safe when dropping off their biggest treasure.
Cristhal Gutierrez
Founder/Teacher
Cristhal Gutierrez is one of the Founders and lead teachers at Mi Cielito Azul ECC.
She brings over 16 years of dedicated experience in bilingual and dual language education. A proud graduate of the University of North Texas, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Bilingual Education for Early Childhood through 4th grade, Cristhal has always been deeply committed to nurturing young learners during their most formative years. She later went on to earn her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia Christian University, further strengthening her leadership in early childhood education. Throughout her career, Cristhal has been passionate about creating inclusive, culturally responsive classrooms that empower children to thrive academically and emotionally. During her seven years at Solar Preparatory School for Girls in Dallas ISD, she cultivated a strong foundation in dual language instruction while also discovering a passion for integrating mindfulness practices into the classroom. She believes that fostering emotional awareness and self-regulation is just as important as academic growth.
Our Services
We are a Spanish Immersion Preschool located in North Carrollton and in Dallas. In addition to being a preschool, we also offer private lessons and private tutoring in our community for ages 2-10.
